Pricing and Membership Levels

Front of the Hilton Birmingham MetropoleYou can attend ConFuzzled in multiple ways. It boils down to three main types – Residential, Attending Only (i.e. non-residential), and day tickets. Everything else is optional!

If you want a room at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, then you’ll need to go for a Residential attendance. If you’re a local or you’re staying nearby, then you can opt to just pay for your attendance fee with the Attending Only ticket.

Residential Pricing

For those who wish to stay with us at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, these prices are per-person and include a standard attendance ticket, four nights’ accommodation, breakfast and access to the gym and pool facilities – they represent excellent value for money. All rooms are en-suite.

Please be aware that, unlike many US conventions, we sell spaces in rooms, not whole rooms per booking. For more information on each room type, please see the Bedrooms section of our Venue information.

Registrations made prior to 19:00 GMT on 6th January 2018 (aka – “Earlybird” or “EB”) will receive a discount of £10 to the prices shown above (excluding Early Arrival and Late Departure prices). All attendees staying overnight in the hotel must have a Residential Basic, Plus or Sponsor package. Certain payment methods (such as international bank transfer) may incur a surcharge which will be displayed during the registration process.

Attending Only Pricing

This is our non-residential ticket, ideal for people who live within the vicinity or for people wishing to stay at their own organised accommodation. It does not include food, drink or accommodation at the venue. Please note you will be expected to leave the venue each day shortly after the last event of the evening has ended.

A standard attending only ticket is a simple one off charge of £80 (£70 Earlybird). You can bolster your ticket with Plus or Sponsor options, detailed in the table below.

Day Ticket Pricing

These tickets will be available from 7th January, 2018. This is a non-residential ticket and a perfect option if you are able to attend only for a day or two. It does not include food, drink or accommodation at the venue. Please note you will be expected to leave the venue at the end of the day shortly after the last event of the evening has ended.

For stays for longer than three days, an Attending Only ticket is more economical.

Day tickets, just like all other tickets, must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the convention itself.

Day tickets will be available to purchase from early January onwards. An announcement will be made so please keep an eye out!

If you are in a double/twin/executive and your room sharing partner is not staying the additional night(s), it will not affect the cost for you to stay the extra night(s).

Double, Triple and Executive Room Management Policy

Prior to the 2017 convention year, our Registration Team changed the way that they handle double room bookings. This was to alleviate a growing issue over the past couple of convention years regarding availability vs demand, and to make it a bit more fair to other attendees who desire a room of this type.

In the interest of fairness to all, we will no longer be allowing attendees to occupy double or triple rooms with vacant spaces (read – no room share partner) for extended periods of time. The best thing we suggest, should you desire a position in a double room, is to sign up for one with a roommate already in mind who is also ready to register.

When you register, please indicate who your room partner(s) will be in your attendee notes during the registration process. They must be able to sign up within 48 hours. Your room share will then be manually set up by one of our registration team and you will both be approved to pay. You will not be approved for a double room without a room partner.

If your room partner cannot register by this deadline you will automatically be moved to a twin room and then approved. You are of course welcome to inquire about a double room at a later date when your room partner has registered and paid, and if we have rooms available you will be moved into a double room. If we do not have any rooms left you will be placed on a waiting list.

In the event that your room partner’s registration is cancelled (for example, due to non-payment), based on the demand and availability of double rooms and how long has passed since the payment deadline, our Registration Team may reallocate you to a twin room type. There is no cost difference between twin and double room types. Reapplying for a double room in the future will be dependent upon room availability and having an agreed room partner as above.

We understand that there will be circumstances where someone with a double room slot, either paid or unpaid, will have their potential room share partner drop out for one of a number of possible reasons (self cancellation/non-payment/health/etc). In these cases, simply contact our Registration Team and explain your situation to them. We will always do our best to work with you for a reasonable outcome.
